As my team is growing and expanding, I have welcomed Jamie English in joining me and my photography business to help photograph and capture memorable moments for my lovely clients on their special day. An associate photographer steps in for me on the actual wedding day. Using an associate is an advantage for clients who have a slightly lower budget or who love my work but are inquiring about a day I am unfortunately already booked for. My associate has been trained to take beautiful imagery in the same style and manner that I would if I were there, and represents my brand of professionalism and friendliness! After the big day, all files will be transferred to me, and will be edited in the unique style I have developed and use for all of my wedding clients. After booking my associate, I will be in constant contact with my clients leading up to the wedding day, assisting with day-of timelines and family formal shot lists, and informing my associate of all information along the way.
Jamie’s love for photography is two-fold: nature and people. Her heart swells when she is surrounded by the raw beauty of the great outdoors, and when she has a camera in hand, she couldn’t be happier! Except for when she gets to spend time with new people and learn more about their lives. Photographing individuals in their most momentous seasons feels like the biggest honor, and she doesn’t take it for granted. She works hard to create beautiful images and to make your time together an experience within itself that is filled with joy and laughter. When she doesn’t have a camera in hand, you might find her strolling around the zoo with her husband or hopping on a plane to explore a new destination.
My photography style is constantly evolving and growing as I do in my own life. I once came across this Ansel Adams quote, and thought that it perfectly describes my perspective on how a photographer's style is "created":
"You do not make a photograph with just a camera. You bring to the act of photography all of the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."
Every experience, client, and location has made me into the artist I am today. Ultimately, when I am on a job, my goal is to make one cohesive shoot, instead of a few great images. How does the story of the whole day tie together? What images will look great placed together as a diptych? In what order will I place these images in an album to tell the best story? How will this moment look framed and hanged on a wall in your living room? And probably most importantly, how will your great great grandchildren react to these images of their relatives on their wedding day?
A passion of mine has always been travel. While I just recently have been bringing my camera along on most of my trips, you can take a peek below at some of the fun and amazing places I have been! Make sure to check out the TRAVEL section of my blog for even MORE beautiful destinations.

Jamie and I actually belong to a larger social network of talented photographers in our area. We had a lot of mutual friends in common in the business, and really vibed together! After getting to know her work and Jamie as a person, I knew she would be a great fit for this opportunity!
YES! This was a main factor in considering her as my associate. We tend to look for similar light, similar moments, and favor similar expressions and moods when posing. We also have similar gear, and both tend to rely heavily on our trusty 35mm! We both focus heavily on the "in-between moments", but also take care of the details and guests candids during a wedding.
If you decide to add on a second shooter to your package, I would bring on another one of the trusted photographers I often work with. My second shooters know what I look for when I am shooting and would make a great team with Jamie.
